Welcome to our Mersey Pirates audio pages.
The Mersey Pirates Vintage and Modern audio pages will cover the many Land Based Pirate (LBP) radio stations from the Merseyside area and beyond.
The Mersey Pirates webteam enjoy listening to pirate radio, since it reminds us of far happier times from all those years ago when listening to the likes of Radio Caroline, Radio Jackie North and M.A.R. However, Mersey Pirates cannot in any way condone any current pirate radio activity, since what they do is unlawful. We do however admire those who feel it is worth a fight to try and make the airwaves a better place than they currently are. The current radio scene is filled with mostly drab local BBC and commercial radio stations, most of which are not a patch on the great content from some of our local pirate stations from both the past and present.
Mersey Pirates has no affiliation whatsoever with any of the current pirate radio stations or operators. All audio on this page has been kindly donated via the internet or through the mail from both listeners and presenters. The Webmaster is simply a fan and this fan web site has never met and does not know any of the donators personally.
As per the Help section on our Home page, if you have anything interesting to submit then please contact us.
